(Or, the time I willingly ate roast dinner)
Racking my brains one Sunday on where to get lunch, I remembered that I had not yet visited Blacklock. I convinced my dining companion with the promise of lamb chops, but what I did not realise was that Blacklock would be serving their Sunday roast lunch menu….(my personal kryptonite)
We decided to try the bone marrow and were rewarded by smoky, chargrilled bones, dripping with juicy bone marrow to spread on crisp sourdough.
As for the roast, I chose the pork; the quality of the pork itself was evident, even though I kept thinking it would be so much better char sui style. The sides were all well executed and my dining companion enjoyed their food as well.
So even though I am still not converted to eating roast dinners, I have to say this seems to be a good option for those who do. And I still want to try those lamb chops!
