I am slowly making my way round the various ramen places in London…and this one included a very slow queue (i.e. glacial). After a long wait we were finally seated…and waited again for someone to take our order…and waited again for our ramen…and waited again to pay….and I thought ramen was supposed to be fast food…!
The ramen itself was pretty nice and authentic tasting but not as rich as Tonkotsu or Bone Daddies and not as tasty as Kanada-ya. It’s a good addition to Canary Wharf but I don’t think I’ve got the time or patience to deal with the queuing and slow service until the buzz dies down. But looking at the number of noodle enthusiasts in Canary Wharf, I doubt that will be any time soon.
(Edit: my friend tells me that there are no queues on a Sunday night…so that’s the trick!)
