I was wandering through Mayfair, racking my brains as to where I could get some decent lunch and then remembered that Jinjuu had just opened in Soho. Luckily it was still relatively quiet and I got a table without having to wait. The decor is industrial/nightclub chic – there used to be a branch of All Saints on the street andĀ for a moment I got confused as to where I was…!
I stuck with some of the more traditional dishes and had some tasty japchae and some mandoo on the side. It was a shame I was eating by myself as the other dishes diners were eating looked interesting – particularly the fried chicken. Both dishes were great; not greasy and the flavours well-defined. I had some mandarin chocolate ice-cream for dessert which was delicious! I think I’ll be back again to try some more…
