Araki-san has now set up in Mayfair and is bringing Edo-style sushi to London. Fish is sourced from the UK, France and Spain and he is including other ingredients in his London restaurant; white truffle featured extensively on a couple of the dishes and caviar on another. Having only 8 diners made the evening very intimate and service was extremely attentive. Lots of interaction with Araki-san. Omakase only.
The chu-toro and abalone were the highlights and we really enjoyed the evening. However, it just about bankrupted us…ah well…
Price: Excellent
Rating: Extremely expensive
Value for money: Bit expensive (depending on how much you think a dinner with a 3* Michelin sushi chef is worth)
